Autovelox Plus implements an advanced algorithm for detecting with the maximum precision your position and the position of the speedcam or point of interest and it warns you at a variable distance basing upon your speed, giving you the time to reduce it. The application detects the road you're on and warns you only if the point of interest is detected on your road. The algorithm is self-adapting for a urban or extraurban drive style.


Complete Handling of SICVE Tutor highway tracks

Do you often travel on highways? Autovelox Plus has a database with all the informations of the SICVE Tutor Tracks in Italy, when you enter onto a highway Autovelox Plus keeps track of your average speed inside the track and it warns you periodically if your average speed is too high and you are risking a sanction. Tha application shows you also informations about the next SICVE Tutor check point and it's distance from your position.
Highway Stop? a phone call is incoming? No problem, Autovelox Plus can be closed while it's monitoring a SICVE track, when you'll restart it, the application will resume the monitoring without loss of data.


Maps

Thanks to the Google maps, you can very simply know where the signaled POI is in respect to your position, furthermore you can always see the detected POIs in a range of 30 km from your position, the streets where they are and the speed limit imposed.
For a better use of the Google maps, an internet connection is required, if you use Autovelox Plus in map mode at least once, the maps that you are seeing will be saved on your phone for a later off-line use.Your actual position and the POIs detected in a range of 30 km are always visible even if the map is not available.


Energy saving

Autovelox Plus is the only application in it's category that can work with the iPhone's screen locked, this feature results in a very long battery life.
You will be warned with different acoustic signals and you can configure an acoustic warning to be thrown when the signaled POI gets overtaken (very useful for hidden speedcams)


Import of Points of Interest

The main innovation that Autovelox Plus offers is the ability for the user to import different types of Points of Interest from any public domain database, it is possible to download points of interest from the web and import them through a very straightforward web interface. You can then use the imported POIs with Autovelox Plus, this makes Autovelox Plus the most versatile drive-assistant iPhone application available.


Using Autovelox Plus outside Italy

Autovelox Plus has a preinstalled database of points of interest in Italy.
It is possible though to use the import feature for importing POIs of another European country an use Autovelox Plus where you want!
This website will periodically report various internet websites from which to download high quality points of interest in Italy and Europe.


Configurability, avoiding useless distractions

Autovelox Plus is totally configurable for the type of POIs to consider and for the alerting modes.
You can choose to be warned whenever a POI is detected on your street or only if your speed is above the limit imposed by the POI (default setting), this avoids useless distractions for the driver limiting the warnings only if they are really necessary.
If you use Autovelox Plus in STANDBY (screen locked) mode, you can enable an acoustic warning to be thrown when you reach or overtake the signaled POI.
If you are driving on a Highway monitored by the SICVE Tutor system the application will periodically remind you with an acoustic warning that you are inside a SICVE Tutor track. You can also choose to be warned only if your average speed inside the track is above the legal limit on that track, an other idea to improve battery life avoiding useless distractions.


Updates

Autovelox Plus will be periodically updated with a new database of points of interests. We are also working on cool new features.
